Fajar sends wishes to SEA Games national rugby player

-

MIRI: The management, staff and students of Fajar International College have sent their best wishes to Fidelia Limang Telajan, who is part of Malaysia’s women rugby team, and hope that she can put her best effort to bring glory to the country in the Kuala Lumpur SEA Games.

The college is especially proud that Fidelia, who is a Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health ( DipOSH) student, has the opportunity to showcase her talent.

Local Iban lass Fidelia joined Fajar at the start of the year.

As a national rugby player, Fidelia has high hopes for the woman’s national team to triumph in the coming Kuala Lumpur SEA Games.

Fajar’s DipOSH is the top choice for school leavers who aspire to be successful and registered Safety and Health Officers.

The diploma, to date, is the only college diploma in OSH which is recognised by the Department of Occupational Safety and Health ( DOSH), Malaysia, and the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health ( IOSH), UK.

Anyone who aspires to be a recognised Safety & Health Officer ( SHO) and qualified to take up SHO job opportunities that are opened only to qualified applicants are urged to make sure that their diploma is recognised by DOSH.

This is to ensure that upon successful completion of the course and the required experience, graduates will be eligible to apply for a ‘ safety passport’, or Green Book, and register themselves with DOSH as a SHO in Malaysia.

Upon approval, DOSH will issue a Green Book, which not only vouches the credibility of the safety officer but also allows the holder to freely work in both private and public sectors in Malaysia.

Fajar has a proven track record in running the DipOSH programme, which has become one of its capstone programmes.

This two- and- a- half year programme is approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency ( MQA), and solidly packaged to cover all relevant subjects pertaining to occupational safety and health.

For graduates who wish to continue their studies to degree level, Fajar students have direct entry into the final year degree programme in Occupational Safety and Health at Middlesex University, UK, which can be completed in just one academic year.

Interested parties for the Diploma in OSH or other programmes can phone 085644803 or visit the college’s website at www.kolejfajar.edu.my or email query@ kolejfajar.edu. my
