The WEOY winner will be announced at a ceremony on the evening of Saturday, 10 June at Salle Des Étoiles.

Goh is the CEO of Karex, a family business that is listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd.

Although Goh made his debut into the world of enterprise at a young age, his foresight, innovativeness and entrepreneurial spirit have helped scale and transform the business to become the world’s largest condom manufacturer.

A true modern entrepreneur, he brings a great sense of purpose and passion towards making a positive impact on his business, employees, customers and key stakeholders.

WEOY 2017 will also convene some of the world’s most inspiring entrepreneurs, game changers and government leaders from more than 60 countries for the EY WEOY Forum.

The Forum will feature a series of summits, keynote speeches, panel discussions and events of special interest to entrepreneurs, WEOY alumni, government officials and business leaders in attendance.

Discussions under the theme “Could uncertainty be your best opportunity for growth?” will provide attendees the opportunity to challenge conventional thinking, share disruptive ideas and discover new opportunities to navigate uncertainty and growth at the new intersection of politics, economics, business and society.

This year, Tan Sri Dr. Francis Yeoh, managing director of YTL Group (EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Malaysia 2002) will play a key role at the forum as he shares his thoughts and insights during an interactive debate on The future of the company.

Philip Rao, Partner, Ernst & Young Advisory Services Sdn Bhd and programme sirector of the EOY Malaysia programme shares, “Since its inception in 2002, the EOY Malaysia award programme has had the privilege to shine a spotlight on some of our best home-grown entrepreneurs to the rest of the world.

“Malaysia is also proud to have been invited to contribute to the WEOY Forum in terms of content and speakers over the past few years – a true testament to the profile and calibre of our Malaysian entrepreneurs.

“The EY WEOY provides a spectacular platform that goes beyond celebrating and honouring some of the world’s best entrepreneurs.

Attendees at WEOY stand to gain insights from best in class speakers, participate in “crowd solving” issues related to business, growth and social impact, as well as network with global entrepreneurs and business leaders.”
