Single election operations room for SUPP Piasau, Pujut and Senadin
MIRI: Sarawak United Peoples’ Party ( SUPP) Piasau, Pujut and Senadin branches are now under the SUPP Miri and Sibuti Parliamentary Liaison ( MSPL) Election Operations Room.
The liaison committee chairman, Datuk Lee Kim Shin said the reorganisation which happened after the last state election, is vital to ensure that the various branches work together as one.
“Miri is a huge division with three constituencies. Previously, it was handled separately by its respective branches. As the chairman, I wish to have all three of them work together, thus the new arrangement. Working as one, it makes communication easier as we are working towards the same direction and of course, to serve the people in a better way,” Lee told reporters yesterday at the SUPP Piasau branch office here.
After the re-organisation, he said that the public can expect a more systematic system in handling complaints and issues brought up by them. Another section, he added, is the Complaints Bureau, which will handle major and minor issues.
“The bureau will handle small issues and unresolved problems that require some research. We urge members of the public who have any complicated issues to come and file their complaint with the bureau,” he said.
The bureau, Lee said, will be supervised by his special assistant, Erick Chin who was appointed by SUPP Party Central as the supervisor.
“The bureau also enables us to connect with the government and private agencies, should the issues require us to do so.”
