‘PBB doesn’t wait for elections to serve’

-

MARUDI: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) does not wait until election time to serve the people.

Telang Usan assemblyman Dennis Ngau pointed out that the party’s main body, as well as women’s and youth wings consistently work for the betterment of the people.

“We roll up our sleeves immediately after every election to continue serving the people in our constituencies.

“We do not wait until the election is approaching, but various programmes are organised besides continuous efforts to bring physical development,” he said when opening a women’s empowerment programme in Long Ikang recently.

He said the efforts are not just a one-off exercise.

“We are not only trying to create awareness but also develop our people’s economy and perhaps a good culture among the people in our constituency,” said Dennis who is also PBB Telang Usan chairman.

“We must be consistent in our efforts to touch the hearts and minds of the people, especially in the rural areas. I am aware that to organise events in the rural area is very tough and demanding. That’s why I am thankful to our party members, especially our women’s wing, for their untiring efforts and of course the great support from our BN (Barisan Nasional) component parties.”

Some 250 longhouse folks from Kampung Uma Akeh, Long Puak, Long Banyok, Long Ikang, and Logan Sibong attended the event.

It was jointly organised by the PBB Telang Usan Women’s wing, BN, and the Long Ikang village security and development committee.
