Dept to probe into immoral activity involving schoolgirl

MELAKA: The Melaka Education Department will carry out further investigat­ion into the case involving a 15-yearold schoolgirl who allegedly committed immoral activity with several boys from school in Jasin near here.

Its director, Abu Bakar Sahari, said the investigat­ion, however, would only be carried out after the police concluded their probe.

A local daily yesterday reported the alleged immoral activity involving the girl, who was detected by her mother to have had sex with several boys at school.

It was also reported that the girl’s family had lodged a report at Jasin Police headquarte­rs and eight schoolboys aged 15 and 16, had been arrested Thursday to facilitate in the investigat­ion.

Commenting further, Abu Bakar said all students involved in the immoral activity would be called to attend intensive counsellin­g at school.

“The school and the department will continue to monitor the developmen­t of this case to prevent recurrence,” he added. — Bernama
