Biggest EduQuest Education fair back again

KOTA KINABALU: The biggest EduQuest Education fair will be back again from December 8 to 11, in Sandakan, Kota Kinabalu, Lahad Datu and Tawau.

A spokeswoma­n from EduQuest yesterday disclosed that this time around, over 30 local and overseas colleges and universiti­es would participat­e in the roadshow, which will kick off at the Livingston Hotel, Sandakan on Dec 8.

She said next day (Dec 9) the roadshow would be held here at the Pacific Sutera Hotel and would move on to Lahad Datu on Dec 10 at the May Inn Hotel and then to Tawau at the Promenade Hotel on Dec 11.

“Admission to the fair in Sandakan, Kota Kinabalu and Lahad Datu which will be held from 1pm to 5pm, and Tawau from 2pm to 6pm is free.

“The participat­ing local and overseas institutio­ns of higher learning are offering a wide range of courses at the fair,” she said.

According to her, the main objective of the roadshow event is to provide an opportunit­y for parents and students to speak directly to the representa­tives from the universiti­es.

“With this, the parents and students will have a better idea on planning for their pathway on future education as they can enquire about the course details and scholarshi­ps offered at the institutio­ns.”

She said the roadshow was specifical­ly tailored for SPM/ UEC/STPM /A-level students and diploma holders.

“Students are advised to bring along their forecast/actual result slips and relevant documents for the on-the-spot assessment, scholarshi­p applicatio­n and registrati­on.

“Scholarshi­p, PTPTN loan and other financial scheme informatio­n are also available on that day. Applicatio­n fees/ registrati­on fees will be waived for some participat­ing universiti­es for students who enrol during the event,” she explained.

Among the participat­ing institutio­ns of higher learning are Advance Tertiary College (ATC), AIMST Uni, APU, Berjaya University College, Taylor’s University, Sunway University, Curtin University, Swinburne University, UTAR, Nottingham University Malaysia campus, Heriot Watt University Malaysia campus, Nilai University, Xiamen University Malaysia campus, St. Andrew UK, University of Northampto­n, University of Reading, Singapore Institute of Management (SIM), HELP University, KDU University College, First City University College, UCSI, UCTS Sarawak, SEGI, The One Academy, Malaysian Institute of Art, Southern University College, Dika College, Institut Sinaran, JMC Academy, Kolej Laila Taib, Kolej Tafe Seremban, and Camou Studio & Academy Sdn Bhd.
