Reddoorasia.my a B2B media e-commerce platform for M’sian SMEs

-

KOTA KINABALU: The costs of above-the-line advertising in traditional media poses a real hurdle for local small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to reach the masses. Coupled with the complexities of media-buying, these SMEs find it daunting to buy, pay and publish an advertisement themselves.

Reddoorasia.my is ideated and developed as an e-commerce B2B platform where clients can buy media directly with the media owners. The real objective of Reddoorasia.my is to deliver cost savings, operational efficiencies and transparency.

The aim is to provide a single unified advertising portal by infusing technology that establishes a powerful foundation for the future as advertisers and media houses/owners evolve to meet future advertising challenges.

Besides reaching out to SMEs, Reddoorasia.my is also a platform for the young and upcoming digitally savvy netizens and entrepreneurs who would want to be in control of their marketing communications planning.

To assist local SMEs to plan and buy media on their own in either Display or Classified formats, Reddoorasia.my has launched a fully-automated, online ecommerce platform that allows SMEs to publish an ad with just four easy steps.

“Starting out as an SME ourselves, our mantra in Trapper Media Group for the past 17 years was always about empowering SME businesses and their growth. After all, the SMEs have always been the heart and the driver of the Malaysian economy.

“Therefore, we completely understand the pain-points of SMEs to book and place ads,” said Sivanathan Krishnan, chief executive officer of Reddoorasia. my and Group CEO of Trapper Media Group.

“We spent a lot of time and effort in creating the right platform that needed to be hassle-free and so simple to use; we studied other global platforms and improved on their imperfections.”

Reddoorasia.my is the physical demonstration of a real disrupter model which is transparent and automated and that has the positive ability in creating a healthy marketplace for both media owners and SMEs.

The first pain point that Reddoorasia.my eliminates is information-seeking; an SME can study the cost-effectiveness of running an ad with the myriad of media available. The Reddoorasia. my platform has the information and data needed made available with a click.

One is able to compare prices and decide on the best media option for any given budget.

The second pain-point is the guarantee of advertisement space. Once an ad is booked, the SME is guaranteed the ad space. The third pain-point that Reddoorasia. my eases is the creative visuals’ costs.

“We work with a team of experienced creative agency experts that are able to generate the templated visual(s) for a fee ranging between RM640 to RM2,300,” clarified Sivanathan. Of course, SMEs can also produce the visual themselves; the platform has clear specifications of the visual to upload.

As Reddoorasia.my is an ecommerce platform, payment is similar to any other e-commerce vendor. An SME owner can use his/her credit card or company credit card to pay for the ad thus giving the SME a credit facility provided by their own bank or credit card provider.

Sivanathan elaborated, “Not only are we offering extremely competitive rates, we’re also absorbing the transaction rate charged by credit card companies. To ease the pain-point even further, we are in the process of creating an interest-free payment option of 6 to 12 months for our customers as well.”

Reddoorasia.my eliminates all the pain-points highlighted above with four easy steps – browse and choose a newspaper, design the ad, make payment and get the ad published for the chosen dates.

The best part of it is proof of the published ads will no longer be via tearsheets; that’s history with Reddoorasia.my. Advertisers will get notification via an e-paper format. That’s another first for the media industry.

Soon to be added are dailies from Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah & Sarawak, radio channels and television stations.

“We are in talks with other media owners who see Reddoorasia.my as the game-changing platform that will radically transform the landscape of media-buying as there are close to 907,065 SMEs in Malaysia that contribute almost 40 per cent of the GDP,” revealed Sivanathan.

Reddoorasia.my has a proposition that is uniquely different due to user-journey simplicity, transparent cost structures, e-business vision and planning with the support and interest coming from various media owners.
