Futher actions on alleged meddling after CJ probe

-

PUTRAJAYA: De facto Law Minister Datuk Liew Vui Keong said further actions on the allegations of the judicial interference of two high profile cases under the previous government administration would only be taken once the internal investigation by the Chief Justice office was completed.

Liew was referring to the judicial meddling claims of senior judges in the unilateral conversion of M Indira Gandhi’s children and the late parliamentarian Karpal Singh’s sedition trial.

In an earlier report, Chief Justice Richard Malanjum said an internal probe for both cases was currently being conducted.

Liew said this in response to the media after his visit to the Royal Floria Putrajaya here on Friday.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, the event themed ‘10 Wonders of Floria’ is being held from Aug 25 to Sept 2.

The event, which was expected to attract a million visitors both local and foreign also saw the participation of nine countries, namely Philippines, Singapore, Japan, China, Germany, Korea, Vietnam, Taiwan and Indonesia.

Among this year’s highlights are the Royal Garden, Designer Garden, ‘The Magic of Bonsai & Suiseki’, Terrarium ‘Tropical Magic in the Glass’ and the Musical Garden, Tea Party Garden, Cat Pavilion, Floral Pavilion as well as Garden Bazaar and Horticulture Market.
