TA Investment launches TA Dana Global 50

KUALA LUMPUR: TA Investment Management Bhd has launched a new fund, TA Dana Global 50, an income fund that will invest at least 95 per cent of its net asset value in Shariahcompliant fixed income instruments and the remainder in Shariah-compliant liquid assets.

In a statement yesterday, TA Investment said the fund would also invest into an Islamic Profit Rate Swap, thus enabling the fund’s performance to be exposed to the return of the equity related index such as Finvex Shariah Efficient Global 50 Net Return Index based on each party’s undertaking.

Chief executive officer, Wong Mien said the fund was designed to access world equity performance with lower foreign currency risk and stable return, through the performance return of Finvex Shariah Efficient Global 50 index.

“The index is designed to reflect the performance of a dynamic portfolio of 50 equally weighted equity securities listed on various exchanges worldwide.

“Furthermore, majority of the fund investment is in Shariah-compliant fixed income instruments including Shariah-compliant money market instruments, and therefore the currency risk is minimum,” he added.

The offer price per unit of the fund is 50 sen and is valid during the offer period of 21 days from today to Feb 6, with a minimum investment of RM1,000. — Bernama
