TM to launch mobile packages for SMEs in April

-

KUALA LUMPUR: Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM) is expected to officially launch mobile solution packages for small and medium enterprise (SMEs) through its digital mobility services provider, webe, on April 11.

Executive Vice President Imri Mokhtar said the product packages are currently going through the final stages of preparation, but SMEs can still register their interest with TM.

“In an effort to help SMEs accelerate the adoption of information and communication technology (ICT) and the Internet of Things (IoT), we have engaged with them to understand and determine their current services in the creation of the packages.

“This is to ensure that it will truly benefit them, even when out of their homes or offices,” Imri told reporters after the launch of the company’s first leg of the SME BizFest 2017 yesterday.

The event is an annual affair by TM.

Revealing some of the features, he said the packages offered would be almost similar with the webe individual mobile service packages, but with some added value, no contract and a worry-free unlimited usage of Internet data.

Meanwhile, Imri also said TM is targeting between eight and 10 per cent of its household customers to subscribe to webe services by this year from two per cent as of Dec 31, 2016. TM’s total customers today stands at about 2.7 million.

On the event, Imri said the one-day SME BizFest 2017, its sixth edition, is specifically designed to address SME focus in the areas of improving their sales and marketing activities, increase productivity and enhance customer experience with the presence of 20 partners and exhibitors to help them. — Bernama
