22 local contractors get projects via computerised selection
LAHAD DATU: All the contractors who succeeded in acquiring projects through the computerised project acquisition system for maintenance of public infrastructure projects (PIA) and basic infrastructure projects (PIAS) are reminded to strictly comply to the specification requirements and to complete the projects within the stipulated period.
Lahad Datu assemblyman, Datuk Mohd Yusof Apdal, said quality project implementation and timely completion will bring about positive impact to the company's profile and would be beneficial to all parties concerned.
“Public infrastructure projects (PIA) and basic infrastructure projects (PIAS), which covers a wide range of maintenance work and construction of infrastructure, must be implemented strictly in accordance with the specifications provided and completed within the stipulated period.
“Proper and quality implementation of the project and its timely completion will not only have a positive impact on the company, but it would also provide an opportunity for these companies to be listed for the next project, h Mohd Yusof said while officiating the computerised project acquisition system for maintenance of PIA and PIAS here.
Mohd Yusof, in his speech, also said that the government is constantly monitoring and evaluating the implementation of projects to ensure that the projects are beneficial and can be used for the good of the people.
During the computerised selection process, 11 contractors were from Lahad Datu and another 11 contractors were from Tungku, from out of the 160 contractors that had registered, were selected to get the projects.
Also present were Lahad Datu district officer, Iman Ali and Tungku assistant district officer, Ibrahim Abdul Hakim.
