WSG Group donates 30 lions, dragon heads
KOTA KINABALU: WSG Group begins ushering in the Year of the Goat with a Dragon and Lions Eye Dotting Ceremony held at The Palm Condominium, Kinarut Show Gallery yesterday.
The event also saw the presentation of 30 lions and a dragon heads to 15 organizations, including schools, community associations, lion dance troupes and religious bodies.
During this auspicious festive season, WSG Group is offering a special discount of RM10,000 to buyers who purchase The Palm Condominium during this Chinese New Year.
WSG Group managing director, Datuk Susan Wong Siew Guen, has been very supportive of Chinese education and traditions for many years, including the lion and dragon dance culture.

SJK(C) Yick Nam Inanam also received a dragon from the company.
Meanwhile, Wong said, the company is offering a special discount of RM10,000 to buyers of The Palm Condominium Kinarut. Bumiputra buyers will enjoy an additional five per cent discount.

Meanwhile, Sabah Tshung Tsin Secondary School principal, Hiew Hoh Shin, led a crew to film the event yesterday as a documentary for the Central China Normal University (CCNU) in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. The documentary will be aired locally in Wuhan during the Chinese New Year season.
Throughout the day, adults and children alike were entertained with a series of performances and activities at the show gallery.
Apart from exciting dragon and lion dance performances by SJK(C) Yick Nam, Persatuan Tarian Singa dan Naga Daerah Kota Kinabalu, Sabah and Pertubuhan Kebudayaan dan Sukan Tiong Hua Sabah, there were also Chinese orchestra performance by Sabah Tshung Tsin Secondary School students, singing and dancing, magic shows, karaoke session and a special appearance by the God of Fortune, to the delight of the children.
On this auspicious occasion, Wong wished the people good health, joy and happiness in the Year of the Goat.
Also present at the event were Wong's mother, Datin Seri Panglima Chen Si Mui, Wong's spouse, Wong Ten An and their children Jonathan, Jason and Vanessa.
