Perfume-inspired lip gloss

FASHION designer and beauty mogul Marc Jacobs loves his latest fragrance, Daisy Love, so much that it inspired him to create a new version of his Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer.

Described by the brand as a “peachy nude gloss” that “gives lips unbelievable shine with a touch of berry flavor”, Enamored Daisy Love is a nod to the hue of its namesake fragrance, which launched back in April.

“Inspired by his newest fragrance, Daisy Love, Marc created the perfect peachy nude shade to reflect the magnetic energy and eclectic spirit of the Daisy Love girl,” the brand told Allure.

However, while the lip gloss’s berry scent is sure to have beauty fans feeling fruity, it is not an exact replica for the perfume, which boasts notes of crystallised cloudberries, daisy tree petals, and a warm blend of cashmere musks and driftwood.

Described by the brand as a “radiant gourmand” fragrance, Daisy Love was unveiled with much fanfare back in the spring, with a campaign fronted by supermodel of the moment Kaia Gerber, as well as Aube Jolicoeur and Faith Lynch.

It is the latest addition to the brand’s successful Daisy franchise, which first came about in 2007.

Scented make-up had a moment in the spotlight early last month, when cruelty-free cosmetics brand TooFaced announced the imminent launch of a fragranced Tutti Frutti make-up range, while Maybelline caused a stir back in May with the launch of a scented Lemonade Craze eyeshadow palette.
