Kuwait hosts jet ski world championship

Marina Beach for the second time, sponsored by the Public
Authority for Sport
(PAS). Zanki said the jet ski championship will be held with local, Gulf and international participants from more than 30 countries around the world, which will strengthen Kuwait’s return to its usual place in the field of sports. It is also a motivation for athletes to win more championships, in addition to gaining more experience.
Zanki said the presence of athletes from more than 30 countries conforms with Kuwait’s 2030 vision for sport. He said there will be many surprises organized by the Water Sports Club during the tournament, which will add to the competition for the top places. He said the club was established in March 2019 by PAS in order to prepare future plans to develop watersports, following the distinguished results of this sport in Kuwait and abroad.
Zanki said the club has organized several local jet ski and moto surf championships, in addition to participating in many championships, during which the club’s athletes had respectable finishes. He said Water Sports Club hosted the world jet ski championship from Feb 13-15, 2020 under the patronage of HH the late Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad AlJaber Al-Sabah at Marina Beach for the first time in Kuwait with the participation of athletes from 27 countries, which was considered a historic event in Kuwait due to the wide interest of world youth worldwide in this sport. Zanki wished all participants success and a pleasant stay in Kuwait.
