Ahli United Bank organizes Ramadan Holy Quran recitation competition in Ramadan

Ahli United Bank announced yesterday that it will organize a Holy Quran recitation competition during the month of Ramadan. The initiative comes as part of the Bank’s diversified range of activities tailored for the Holy month and its overall commitment to society. The competition is divided into four primary categories. The first two are for male and female employees of the Bank to recite An-Najm and Al-Toor verses by choice, whilst the other two categories are for staff members’ children and the wider public, whose ages range between five to fourteen years old, where they will be required to recite Al-Mursalat or AlMuzzmmil verses by choice.

Ahli United Bank announced that registration of children from outside the Bank in the competition will commence today and will continue until Thursday, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Abdullah Al-Shuaib, Sharia Manager at Ahli United Bank said, “The launch of this initiative reflects the Bank’s continued commitment to promote the true values of Islam and encouraging our Muslim employees to memorize and recite the Holy Qur’an. The best time to memorize the Qur’an’s verses is during the Holy month of Ramadan, a time that promotes pure meanings of love, obedience and worship.”

“Ahli United Bank is committed to involve staff members and their families in similar religious and social activities every year. We have further developed the competition to include new categories, the all children section, where any child across Kuwait can participate as per the competition’s guidelines,” added Shuaib.

Shuaib pointed out that similar programs have been developed by the Bank in previous years during the Holy month as part of the Bank’s social commitment to support activities aimed at raising awareness of Ramadan throughout society in Kuwait. The competition dates will be as follows: Day one: June 4, 2017 for children (males) Day two: June 5, 2017 for children (females) Venue of Competition: Ahli United Bank Head office- Banking complex, Mezzanine Floor.
