Egyptian Coptic Church to receive well-wishers on Saturday, Sunday

KUWAIT CITY, May 2: Patron of the Egyptian Coptic Orthodox Church in Kuwait Archbishop Anba Bishoy Bigol announced that the Egyptian Coptic Church will receive well-wishers on Saturday, May 4 from 9:00pm on the glorious Resurrecti­on Day, in the presence of part of the Divine Liturgy, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

He indicated that the church will also receive well-wishers the next morning (Sunday, May 5) from 9:00am to 1:00pm at the reception hall.

Archbishop Anba Bishoy praised the spirit of love and tolerance that prevails in Kuwaiti society, describing it as a spirit rooted in the country since ancient times.

He said, “Our life in Kuwait is a beautiful story of tolerance and brotherhoo­d. The State of Kuwait deserves to be described by societies as a good land that embraces large numbers of nationalit­ies and where everyone enjoys peace and tolerance. These are values that are always sponsored by their distinguis­hed rulers and the honorable Sabah family. This spirit is thriving in our current time under the patronage of His Highness the Amir of the country Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.”

Archbishop Anba Bishoy expressed his sincere appreciati­on and gratitude to the agencies that participat­e in securing the celebratio­ns, led by the leaders and officers of the Ministry of Interior in all its agencies, sectors and branches.

He also thanked the governorat­es of Hawally and Ahmadi and all state agencies and media.

Archbishop Anba Bishoy expressed great pride in all the congratula­tory hearts that constantly express a great outpouring of love and affection while carrying the authentici­ty and nobility of humanity.

He wished the people of Kuwait and Egypt developmen­t and prosperity, thanks to the wisdom of their great leaders.
