PAHW, MoE sign agreement on handing over five schools in Mutlaa Housing City
KUWAIT CITY, March 4: The Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW) and Ministry of Education have signed an agreement on handing over the keys of five schools in N9 suburb in Mutlaa Housing City in the presence of the concerned ministry officials, reports Al-Anba daily quoting sources.
Sources disclosed these schools include a kindergarten, primary school for boys, middle school for boys, middle school for girls and high school for girls. Sources confirmed that coordination between PAHW and the ministry is continuing for the handover of more schools soon.
On the other hand, Chairman of Mutlaa Housing City Committee Khaled Al-Anzi told the daily that the residents in the city expressed happiness over the handover of schools from PAHW to the ministry, considering a large number of families relocated to the city recently.
This is in response to the demand that the residents presented during their recent visit to the Government Performance Monitoring Agency headed by Sheikh Ahmed Al-Mishaal who responded positively to such a demand.
On behalf of the residents in the city, Al-Anzi thanked the concerned parties that responded to the demand of the residents, which resulted in the opening of schools and other facilities in the area.
Meanwhile, the Public Authority for Disabled Affairs (PADA) on Sunday started receiving applications to open the educational and rehabilitation files of new students for academic year 2024/2025, reports
Al-Anba daily.
The authority disclosed that it will continue receiving such applications at its headquarters during official working hours until June 27 without the need for an appointment.
Following are the application conditions:
The student must be of Kuwaiti nationality or have a Kuwaiti mother, The student must present a disability proof certificate issued by PADA,
The age of the student on Sept 15 – the start of the academic year – must not be less than three years old for nursery and 21 years old for rehabilitation.
Required documents:
A special form for opening the educational and rehabilitation files written in clear handwriting,
A copy of the disability proof certificate,
A copy of the birth certificate,
A copy of the civil identification card of the student,
Two copies each of the parents’ civil identification cards,
A copy of the mother’s original nationality if the student is non-Kuwaiti, Two recent photos of the student, A copy of the academic certificate for the previous academic year,
Medical and psychological reports, and results of the most recent intelligence test.
