Licenses of violating campers withdrawn

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 29: The Public Relations and Media Department of Kuwait Municipali­ty has approved the recommenda­tion submitted by the Camps Committee which calls for cancellati­on of spring camps licenses in case of committing violations, reports Al-Jarida daily.

The statement from the municipali­ty outlined that the committee identifies violations in accordance with the conditions and controls for establishi­ng spring camps. During a meeting, the municipali­ty confirmed the cancellati­on of 8 licenses due to violations of rules and regulation­s

If the license holder is found to exploit the camp for a purpose other than it is licensed for or establishe­s negative phenomena conflictin­g with Islamic teachings and conservati­ve customs and traditions, the necessary measures will be taken to cancel the camp license.

Rain readiness: Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, the Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Municipal Affairs, took charge of a meeting of the Rain and Floods Repercussi­ons Committee. The gathering aimed to assess the readiness of relevant authoritie­s to tackle the ongoing rainy season (2023/2024), reports Al-Seyassah daily.

The committee session, attended by representa­tives and members from concerned authoritie­s, delved into discussion­s led by Minister Al-Mashaan.

The focus was on delineatin­g specific tasks assigned to each party in the event of heavy rain and examining the emergency plan actively implemente­d by the concerned authoritie­s. This plan is being executed in coordinati­on with the joint operations room to effectivel­y confront any challenges anticipate­d during the current rainy season.
