Licenses of violating campers withdrawn

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 29: The Public Relations and Media Department of Kuwait Municipality has approved the recommendation submitted by the Camps Committee which calls for cancellation of spring camps licenses in case of committing violations, reports Al-Jarida daily.

The statement from the municipality outlined that the committee identifies violations in accordance with the conditions and controls for establishing spring camps. During a meeting, the municipality confirmed the cancellation of 8 licenses due to violations of rules and regulations

If the license holder is found to exploit the camp for a purpose other than it is licensed for or establishes negative phenomena conflicting with Islamic teachings and conservative customs and traditions, the necessary measures will be taken to cancel the camp license.

Rain readiness: Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, the Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Municipal Affairs, took charge of a meeting of the Rain and Floods Repercussions Committee. The gathering aimed to assess the readiness of relevant authorities to tackle the ongoing rainy season (2023/2024), reports Al-Seyassah daily.

The committee session, attended by representatives and members from concerned authorities, delved into discussions led by Minister Al-Mashaan.

The focus was on delineating specific tasks assigned to each party in the event of heavy rain and examining the emergency plan actively implemented by the concerned authorities. This plan is being executed in coordination with the joint operations room to effectively confront any challenges anticipated during the current rainy season.
