The decision, of which Al-Qabas has obtained a copy, calls on the administrative and financial affairs sector, in coordination with other sectors of the ministry, to work during this period to identify all work centers that operate under the shift system in the ministry in accordance with the terms of reference stipulated in the organizational structure, while preparing a comprehensive study on the existing situation in the organizational units which operates under this system to determine the actual numbers in each unit and present the report to the undersecretary of the ministry.
Decision
The decision stressed on the necessity to estimate the needs of the technical and administrative specializations for each sector and report to the Administrative and Financial Affairs Sector at the beginning of each fiscal so that the Civil Service Commission can be informed of the required number of specializations.
The decision called for the development of a five-year plan in light of the actual needs of the specializations required in the sectors operating in the Nuba system, taking into account the rehabilitation and training of those appointed, transferred and newly assigned to the sector to gain the necessary experience to meet the need in cases of retirement or resignation.
Contract signed: Official spokesman of the Ministry of State for Communications and Information Technology Eng Mishaal Al-Zaid confirmed that the ministry signed a contract with a consultancy firm to conduct a feasibility study on the privatization of fixed communications network through the Public-Private Partnership Projects Authority, reports Al-Rai daily.
Al-Zayd affirmed that Minister of State for Municipal, Communications and Information Technology Affairs Rana Al-Faris is focusing on this project. The minister chaired the preparatory meeting with the Advisory Office on Investment Development for the Communications Sector, in the presence of the joint committee at the PublicPrivate Partnership Projects Authority, he added.
He said the minister instructed all those concerned to remove obstacles in order to implement the project as soon as possible.
He added this is aimed at generating job opportunities for Kuwaiti youths and increasing State revenues in line with the New Kuwait Vision 2035.
