Paper exams for Grade 12 students going smoothly, says education min
Dr Al-Mudhaf lauds efforts of committees
KUWAIT CITY, June 10, (KUNA): Kuwait’s Minister of Education Dr Ali Al-Mudhaf affirmed that the paper exams for the twelfth grade, in its scientific and literary sections, are going smoothly.
This came in a press statement by Minister Al-Mudhaf during an inspection tour that he made on a number of committees designated for the exams of the second academic period for the 2020-2021 academic year for the twelfth grade, which included three schools: Issa Al-Holi Secondary School for Boys in Al-Ahmadi Educational District, Al-Adan High School for Girls, Mubarak Al-Kabeer Educational District and Al-Asmaa Bint Al-Harith Secondary School for Girls.
Minister Al-Mudhaf, explained that the schools made a clear effort in organizing and preparing committees and implementing all health requirements recommended by the Ministry of Health including social distancing and providing sanitizers and masks to students, educational and administrative bodies.

He pointed out that the educational and administrative staff in the regions and schools did a great job and made great efforts to facilitate the conduct of the examination process in the various committees. Noting that the content of the exams was in line with the scientific material received by students in distance education, noting that “we found satisfaction from the students with the exam questions.” He praised the efforts exerted and societal cooperation to hold paper tests in a safe environment aimed at protecting the students and not exposing them to danger, wishing them excellence and success in the remaining tests and achieving their scientific, practical goals and ambitions.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, Dr. Ali Al-Yaqoub, also made an inspection visit to a number of schools in Al-Ahmadi Educational District, where he visited Abdullah AlAbbas High School, Ayoub Al-Ayoub High School and Jumana bint Al-Hassan High School to check on the progress of the examination process there.
In turn, the Assistant Undersecretary for General Education in the Ministry, Osama Al-Sultan, visited a number of schools in the Jahra Educational District, accompanied by the Acting Director General of the Jahra Educational District, Hamad Al-Saeed.
On Wednesday the Minister of
Education called on private school students who have not been vaccinated against COVID-19 to conduct a PCR swab test free-of-charge at Jaber Al-Ahmad Hospital Thursday ahead of their high school final exams next week.
Students will be able to get a swab test at the hospital from 8:00am until 9:30pm in order to attend their examinations, the ministry said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Minister Al-Mudhaf,
visited a number of high schools 12thgrade exams committees, which began Wednesday amid health restrictions due to the spread of COVID-19.
In a press statement, Wednesday, the minister said that the total number of public and private school students who took the general secondary exams is 50,743.
The minister affirmed that education is the foundation for any country’s development, pointing out that the exams are the true measure and evaluation
of students and the educational process.
Therefore, the ministry decided that the 12th-grade tests be held in schools with a commitment to achieving the utmost health precautions before, during and after conducting the exams.
He praised the efforts of the teaching and administrative staff and the entire ministry’s employees, calling on students to exert effort and study hard to achieve their goals.
