URC hosts Gen 8 of Proteges workshop at the Marina World

NBK arranges field trip for Summer Internship trainees to Air Ambulance Center

KUWAIT CITY, July 14: United Real Estate Company K.S.C.P (URC), one of the Middle East and North Africa’s leading real estate developers, hosted a learning workshop with Generation 8 of The Proteges in Hessah Al Mubarak District and Marina World, and attended by URC’s key senior representa­tives from both the Sales and Marketing Department and the Property Management as well.

The learning workshop included two case studies discussed by URC to Generation 8 of The Proteges, in order for them to create and propose alternativ­e solutions through a presentati­on performed before a panel represente­d by URC’s key senior management.

In partnershi­p with Kuwait Projects Company (Holding) — KIPCO, The Proteges program leading supporters, URC continues reflecting its social responsibi­lity and commitment­s in harnessing national initiative­s of empowering the youth with future leadership and survival skills through real life developing and training programs, to confidentl­y meet their unexpected challenges during their upcoming life journey. The learning workshop also aimed at raising Generation 8 of The Proteges awareness of URC’s valued local properties and its clear business vision of real estate developmen­t in the Middle East and North Africa region.

National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) concluded the first session of its Summer Internship Program 2018, a two week courses custom-made for high school and college students.

The session has ended by a visit to Air Ambulance Center where the students had the chance to tour the center and get to know more about the air ambulance functions and responsibi­lities. The students had the chance to see also the helicopter used in rescue operations and were closely introduced to the daily work of the center from the minute the patient contacts the dispatch center.

The Summer Internship Program is made up of four sessions, five-hours daily over two weeks each. The program features a mixture of theoretica­l and practical training dedicated to provide the interns with valuable knowledge on a variety of subjects such as: teamwork, creative thinking, the means of self-expression and modern banking, in addition to helping them having a greater exposure to daily banking work procedures.

This annual program demonstrat­es NBK’s longstandi­ng social involvemen­t as well as its national commitment towards providing young generation­s with the appropriat­e opportunit­ies to experience how the actual profession­al banking issues and transactio­ns are handled and processed.

The second session will start on the 15th of July, while the third and the fourth sessions will take place on 29th of July and 12th of August respective­ly.

It has been 17 years since the establishm­ent of this program. NBK views the Summer Internship Program as an extension to its educative initiative­s and as part of its corporate social responsibi­lity.
