KUWAIT CITY, Jan 20, (KUNA): A delegation of outstanding Kuwaiti male students concluded a trip to Albania, organized by Kuwait Funds for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) by visiting a number of tourist attractions in the country.
In a statement received by KUNA on Saturday, KFAED’s Press Chief Ahmad Al-Sarraf said that the students visited Dajti Mountain, where people can admire the beauty of the capital Tirana from above.
They also visited the Grand Park of Tirana, where visitors can see an artificial lake and other landmarks including the Saint Procopius Church and the Presidential Palace, he added.
The well-achievers trip initiative was launched by KFAED in 2010, organizing two separate trips a year for 12 males and 12 females from high schools. The trips involve two countries where KFAED is executing vital projects.
Meanwhile, a group of Kuwaiti female well-achieving students concluded their trip to Morocco organized by KFAED in cooperation with the Ministry of Education.
The group visited Tahannaout village located in the heart of Atlas Mountains near Marrakesh.
During their visit to one of the famous farms in Tahannaout, students learned about Moroccan culinary art and how the most famous Moroccan dishes are prepared.
In regards to the students’ impression of their trip and the contribution of KFAED abroad, they said it was an excellent experience that enabled them to appreciate efforts made by the State of Kuwait for other countries.
Nujood Bilal, a participant in the trip, said she was proud of the role of Kuwait in improving other countries’ economies, while Sheikha Al-Hajri said this experience contributed in enriching her knowledge about other nations.
Meanwhile, Amal Al-Subaie, Jumanaa Abdulwahab and Reem Al-Awadhi thanked KFAED and the Ministry of Education for organizing the trip that left all participants with valuable information.
The well-achievers group will depart Morocco Saturday after spending a week, during which they visited a number of projects funded by KFAED and toured several historical and touristic sites in the cities of Rabat, Tangier and Marrakech.
