AUB holds annual lecture for new law school graduates
KUWAIT CITY, April 12: As part of its leading role in community development, while raising the knowledge of recent Kuwaiti law school graduates to increase their knowledge, Ahli United Bank recently presented a lecture to fresh law school graduates, which was held at the General Social Insurance Authority’s headquarters. Ms Amal Al-Howaidi, the lawyer at the Bank’s legal department presented the lecture, which focused on the legal aspects concerning trademarks. The lecture highlighted the definition and structure of what trademarks constitute, the types and forms of trademarks, how they are chosen, registration process and protecting copyright issues against forgery and replications.
Moreover, the lecture further outlined Kuwait’s international rating in terms of trademarks registering, as well as showcasing the most wellknown trademarks across the GCC. The lecture also included an open discussion and Q&A session focusing on practical examples about legal treatments for trademarks.
