BSK holds Annual Music Festival
The British School of Kuwait (BSK) recently held its annual Music Festival. With four concerts taking place over the course of the week, there were more than two hundred young musicians showcasing their talent.
The Gala Concert which took place wowed the audience with the talent which was on display. BSK students who had received International success at “The Young Musician of the Gulf 2017” were congratulated by a sell-out audience for their success.
The focus of the Music Festival is to acknowledge the thriving Music Department and the opportunities which the children have to perform in front of large audiences. During
Photos from the event the Primary Concert, Robert Beale Head of Primary Music at BSK acknowledged the skill and dedication of the students performing, some of which had only started to learn to play an instrument less than six months ago.
In his speech he highlighted “the opportunities the children have are wide and varied, with hard work and commitment from such supportive parents will ensure that the children continue to flourish musically”. Of course, guests were not left disappointed with the musical content of each concert; in fact they were truly amazed at the standard.
The music prepared over the course of the week was a testament to the reputed hard work of the staff and children at BSK.
The Music Festival was drawn to a close with a public performance at the 360 Mall. Members of the public were left astounded by the talent and standard of play by the students.
The 2018 Music Festival Week at BSK will sure to be another event not to be missed.
