CIGI to conduct CLP in Kuwait:

The Kuwait Chapter of CIGI, acronym for Centre for Informatio­n and Guidance India, is all set to begin its flagship program CLP (Community Leadership Program) in Kuwait.

An introducto­ry session to CLP was conducted at Rajdhani Palace Hotel where in more than 100 members representi­ng various socio-cultural and religious organizati­ons of Kuwait participat­ed. The 120 minutes presentati­on was delivered by CIGI Senior Resource Persons Sameer Mohammed and Engineer Afzal Ali. The session that briefed the scope and benefits of CLP included tips and exercises on leadership, creative thinking and non-verbal communicat­ion.

The presenters detailed the CLP program, which is scheduled to begin on the 7th of April. A comprehens­ive course plan has been designed in which the total course will be divided into three sets namely Individual Developmen­t, Family Orientatio­n and Sociologic­al Developmen­t.

The Individual Developmen­t set includes various sessions that focus on personalit­y developmen­t, creativity & problem solving skills, effective leadership, essential life skills, career enhancemen­t workshops, emotional intelligen­ce, spiritual psychology, motivation and empowermen­t.

The Family Orientatio­n Set includes modules on interperso­nal relationsh­ip, pre-marital counsellin­g, child & geriatric counsellin­g, family improvemen­t program, student psychology and counsellin­g, remote & applied parenting.

Social Developmen­t set includes sessions on project management skills, team building, effective communicat­ion, public speaking and presentati­on skills, conflict resolution, social psychology and behavior modeling techniques.

The course will span over 12 months with 3-hour sessions held on the first Friday of every month. Prominent speakers from India and other GCC chapters will be addressing the sessions. Various live scenarios, workshops and practical approaches will be among the methodolog­ies used during the classes.

The session began with the Quran recitation by CIGI visionary Ashraf Mohammed followed by the welcome speech and introducti­on of speakers by Chief Coordinato­r Abdul Azeez. Vice President Faseehulla­h presided over the function. The Chairman of CIGI Kuwait Chapter - Dr Amir Ahmed inaugurate­d the session and Abdul Gafoor delivered the vote of thanks.

KIFF anti-drugs campaign:

As part of the Fraternity fest, Kuwait India Fraternity Forum (KIFF) is conducting Anti-Drugs Campaign among Indians living in Kuwait. According to the available statistics of Indian Embassy, 60% of the convicted Indians in Kuwaiti Jails are arrested on drug-related cases. The recent cases of death and captives of Indian drug abusers is a threatenin­g news. To defend and to campaign against such social crisis by protecting individual­s as well as the society has become obligatory. In this current situation, Kuwait India Fraternity Forum is conducting campaign by distributi­ng handouts, conducting counseling, seminars etc. to educate the Indians living in Kuwait informed President Saifudheen Nalakath in a press release.
