‘Ban e-sheesha import’:
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Lt General Suleiman Al-Fahd was recently quoted as saying the ministry has recently called on the Director-General of the General Administration of Customs to take preventive measures and ban the import of electronic sheesha which has a flavor of marijuana and meth drugs, particularly since these sheeshas are ordered online from the shopping sites, reports Al-Rai daily.
Meanwhile, LieutGeneral Suleiman Al-Fahd has ordered to refer a Kuwaiti to the State Security police for committing security violation, reports Al-Anba daily.
The daily said the Kuwaiti person was caught for attempting to climb over the fence of the ministry and during interrogation he said he had vital information about the activities of DAESH in Kuwait and wanted to hand over the information to the concerned person.
He justified his act saying he attempted to enter the ministry to meet a senior official but he was refused permission.
Without going into details, the daily said the mental state of the arrested person is being verified.
Booze in delivery van:
Police have arrested an Indian driver working for a home delivery restaurant for selling booze, reports Al-Rai daily.
The man was driving in Salmiya and looked confused when a police patrol passed by his car. Police then ordered him to pull over and seized from his vehicle 107 bottles of locally-manufactured alcohol.
Police have also arrested his accomplice.
Actress’s tantrums:
Police rushed to a sweets shop in Salmiya after a salesman complained to the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry that an unidentified wellknown actress had shattered the façade of the shop because the sweets she had allegedly bought from the shop were not good enough, reports Al-Shahed daily.
A police officer said the owner of the shop should file a complaint if he/she should choose to do so.
Wrong parking penalty:
The Farwaniya police during a 2-hour traffic campaign has issued 69 citations against motorists, who had parked their cars in spaces allocated for the disabled, reports Al-Rai daily.
