Viva La Vamp
Make-up artist Tom Pecheux complemented Max Mara’s SS2020 militant theme with matte, vampy lips that stole the show. Models Joan Smalls,
Gigi & Bella Hadid,
Amira Pinheiro and
Kyla Ramsey were amongst a slew of models who rocked the almost-black lip atop a clean base, accentuated by a diffused, icy-blue shadow on the lids. Recreate the vampy lip with MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour in the shade High Drama or Colourpop Lippie Stix, Infinite Best.
Back to Basics
Prada kicked off Milan Fashion
Week with a collection that took things back to basics. Miuccia
Prada enlisted the expertise of make-up artist Pat Mcgrath to work her magic on the faces of the models who hit the runway of the SS20 show. The legendary make-up artist opted for barefaced beauty and brows with bold black arches just above the brow line. Lips were either a pale, glossy pout or matte red, created with Pat Mcgrath Labs Mattetrance iconic lipstick in Elson. Hair, designed by lead stylist Guido Palau, consisted of bold buzzcuts and sleek ponytails.
Peter Pilotto
Design duo Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos lit up the runway with their neon-inspired SS2020 collection and chose lead make-up artist Inge Grognard to paint the models’ lids in a similar fashion. Shades of neon pink, orange and lime popped on the faces of models as they walked the runway. Shadows from the Morphe 35B Color Burst Artistry Palette or from the MAC Art Library: In Design Palette can be used to recreate this trend.
