As we approach the 2019/20 Coiste Scor season in its 51st year it is important for Club
Cultural Officers along with all participants yaking part in Scor competitions to familiarise themselves with a few minor changes made to rule changes.
As part of this process Coiste Náisiúnta Scór held a General Meeting and a Youth Forum in Croke Park recently. All Counties were given an opportunity at these meetings to debate and review all Scór rules. Following on from this meeting the Coiste consulted with adjudicators in all Scór disciplines and they in turn aided in drafting rules based on recommendations from the General Meeting. These drafts were ratified and agreed by Coiste Náisiúnta Scór and later by An Coiste Bainitsíochta, C.L.G. on Friday, 13th of September. That the Léiriú Stáitse competition name be changed back to its previous name -- Nuachleas; That the latter rounds of the Tráth na gCeist for the top three teams (plus ties) be ran off on stage along with the other competitions; That competitors in the Amhránaíocht Aonair be permitted accompaniment by fellow club mates, of the appropriate age group; That up to two over 16 competitors eligible for Rince Seit and Rince Foirne in Scór na nÓg be permitted to take part in Scór Sinsir; That under eligibility, amalgamations be permitted as follows;
‘’(vi) Combinations of two or more clubs permitted by County Board for the purposes of playing underage football/hurling shall be allowed enter Scór na nÓg competition under the name of the Combination, subject to the approval of County Board.
(vii) A club within the Combination retains the right to enter competitions in their own right. However, if they do, members of teams and/or individuals who represent the club, may not also represent the Combination.
(viii) Combinations as listed above must operate for all underage levels of club activity. A combination at a single age level does not entitle entry to Scór na nÓg,
(ix) A Combination may not be formed solely for the purposes of Scór participation.’’
That three adjudicators be required for provincial and national finals as follows:
(a) At Provincial and All-Ireland level three Adjudicators will judge each discipline. They will apportion 12, 5, and 2, marks respectively to those they place in First, Second and Third places in each competition.
(b) The Committee shall nominate one Adjudicator by lot as Master Adjudicator in each competition and in the event of a tie on the aggregate of marks awarded the marks of the Master Adjudicator will decide the outcome between those tied.de
(c) The identity of the Master Adjudicator will be known only to the Organising Committee.
