Weekday and Sunday Masses are cancelled until the end of October. Annakisha and Killavullen churches are open for private visits during daylight hours. Let’s all play our part in keeping well and pray for one another in these challenging times.

Mass is available online from St Mary’s Church Mallow: http://www.churchservices.tv/mallow/.

Vocations: “Many are called, but few are chosen.” Are you considering following Christ more closely as a priest, or in the consecrated life? Speak to your local priest, or email the National Vocations Office on info@vocations.ie for the diocesan priesthood, or see www.vocationsireland.com for vocations to the religious orders.

PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL

Members of the council are ready to visit neighbours who feel isolated or need practical assistance in this time of the pandemic. Please enquire with the parish office if you would like us to make contact.

Killavullen Community Council have decided in light of the most recent Covid19 guidelines to keep the community centre closed for the moment. It is disappointing for those who use the hall on a regular basis but the best interests of our community are at heart making this decision. The matter will be reviewed on a regular basis taking into account all advice being issued by the relevant Covid-19 bodies. For any club or organisation which needs further details on this please contact killhallbookings@gmail.com.

The stallholders are looking forward to seeing you all on Saturday.

All products are sourced from Suma Wholesalers, so check out their website if you are interested and come along to the market to find out more. COVID-19: THE SECOND WAVE

The current hot topic on all media is the second wave of Covid-19. Last March volunteers in Killavullen parish were more than willing to help out those who were cocooning or isolating at home. As virus numbers are on the rise once again the same sentiment is expressed to all those who are more vulnerable among us at this time. If you find yourself in need of help with collecting shopping, post office trips, prescription collection or something simple such as a newspaper drop off please contact Gillian at 086-3845655 and help will be available to you. All our volunteers are discreet and do not want people to let pride get in the way of this service in the current times.

It is also worth noting Mallow Meals on Wheels can provide a hot meal with either soup or a dessert Monday to Saturday for €5 per day to anybody in our parish. A cooled meal can also be delivered on Saturday which can be put straight into the fridge to be heated up on Sunday. During this pandemic the meals will be delivered to Killavullen and our Willing Hands Group are only too happy to help deliver them to those who have signed up. If you would like more information please contact Sheila at 085-2414879 for details.
