DANNY DRYER

Eastenders star’s wife says marriage is back on but she won’t be doing his washing

- EXCLUSIVE BY HALINA WATTS Showbiz Editor

TELLY hardman Danny Dyer is back with his wife, though she has told him: “I’m not doing your washing.”

The actor, Eastenders pub landlord Mick Carter, had been desperate to patch things up with childhood sweetheart Joanne Mas after they split last month.

The Sunday Mirror told how Joanne celebrated with girl pals after Danny moved out of the marital home in Essex and into a €1,860-a-month rented apartment near the soap’s studios in Elstree, Herts.

Last night one source said: “Danny is still living in the new flat but relations with Jo have improved a lot.

“They both came together for their daughter Dani’s 21st birthday and had a great time. They are working things out.

“But Jo has given Danny a list of conditions and one is that while they patch things up, she won’t do his washing.”

VOWS

Now the star is hoping Jo will renew their wedding vows next month as planned. The couple, both 40, wed in September last year after she proposed. But they fell out after he got back in touch with a group of mates Jo called “wrong ’uns” on top of a reported six-week affair with Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding. Danny, among Eastenders’ best paid stars on €440,000 a year, confessed in his book Life Lessons From The East End that he can’t do the laundry. He wrote: “I still can’t turn a washing machine on. Joanne is my whole world... she washes my dirty pants.” Jo has said she has forced Danny to iron his own shirts before, saying: “He f ***** them up deliberately.” Speaking about their bust-ups, Danny has said: “We sometimes detest each other but something always brings us back.” halina.watts@trinitymirror.com
