- ■Sandra MALLON Showbiz journalist of the year

FORMER MISS Ireland Pamela Uba is set to swap her crown for wings as she becomes Angel in this year’s pantomime.

Panto creators Alan Hughes and Karl Broderick will host their hugely successful Snow White panto at Dublin’s National Stadium from December 13.

Pamela will play the fairy named Angel, who has been given a mission, by a mystery source, to keep an eye on Snow White.

She will intervene where she can; but she’ll need the help of all the boys and girls, mammies and daddies to save Snow White from the clutches of her wicked stepmother, played by Katherine Lynch.

Pamela said: “I’m super excited to be playing the Fairy, Angel in this year’s Panto Snow White and Sammy and Buffy at the National Stadium. I’m studying acting and have always sang, so I will be getting to showcase both my love of acting and singing with an added touch of fairy dust this Christmas.

“I have always aspired to be a singer, actress so it’s incredible that I get to do the two with such a great cast and team. It’s a show you won’t want to miss.”

Pamela has been a medical scientist and now is working in tech.

Passion

After winning best dressed lady at the Galway races 2019, Pamela has since developed her passion for fashion and has modelled for various Irish designers.

She went on to make history after she became the first black woman to win Miss Ireland in 2021.

This December, the National Stadium will be transformed into Pantoland, with the pantomime kicking off on December 13. Tickets available from €16 at www.panto.ie and 01 906 0111.
