Daughter’s plea along with thanks for support

- ■■Nicola DONNELLY

THE daughter of missing woman Bernadette Connolly has pleaded again for people’s help to find her, as the family of another missing person has offered their support.

Bernadette (45) has been missing from the Swords area of north Co Dublin and was last seen in Donabate last Friday, January 7.

Bernadette’s daughter Jadericka has thanked the public for their support, saying on social media yesterday: “To everyone who has helped share posts and raise awareness and have helped in any way, I really appreciate your kindness.”

Jadericka posted a photo of her and her partner Dillon sitting on the sand at the last known location of her mother on Donabate beach.

“This is the very last stretch of Donabate beach where the Malahide Bay comes into view. Please continue to share and let’s not forget about my mam,” Jadericka wrote.

As the search continues, the daughter of a Swords man missing for 40 years says she knows what she is going through.

Speaking exclusively to The Star, Carol Morris, the daughter of Albert Timmons, who has been missing since December 23, 1980 said: “I wish I could take Jadericka’s pain away and I hope her mam is found soon.

“I want to tell Jadericka and her family to keep going, stay strong, and never give up. I know it’s hard but Jadericka is doing a terrific job getting the word out there on social media.

Emotions

“Keep highlighting it on social media and keep putting the information out there. Someone will come forward or knows something.

“I also want to let Jadericka I’m here for her. I am here if she needs to talk. There are so many emotions to go through.”

Carol was only 16 when her dad went missing.

Albert (57) went to The Viscount pub in north Dublin in a Wolseley car on the night of his disappearance. Albert nor the car have never been located since.

“It’s like reliving my dad’s disappearance with them. But Jadericka is amazing, it’s heartbreaking but she is so strong,” said Carol, who said she knows Bernadette to see. “If there is anyone out there even with the slightest thing, just say it. Don’t think it’s not worth saying, Just say what you see.”

Bernadette is 5ft 6in, of slim build, with hazel eyes and long black hair. She is thought to have been wearing a black woolly hat with black bobble, black handbag, black trainers with white soles, black leggings and a black puffer jacket. She got a Dublin Bus from Swords Manor on Friday, January 7 to Swords Main Street at 11.31am.

The last sighting was when she was picked up on the Shoreline Hotel’s CCTV cameras and was located on Donabate beach at 12:38pm the same day.
