MEGHAN O’NEILL ON HER CHOICE OF CAREER

A FORMER mechanic who is now a porn star says the adult entertainment world is “the nicest industry” she has ever worked in.

Meghan O’neill, from Co Antrim, started making porn movies just five months ago after bringing in €11,000 a week on subscription site Only Fans.

The mother-of-two, 32, told the Irish Mirror yesterday: “Porn is just so nice. It is the nicest industry that I have ever worked in. I’ve been involved in everything.

“I started modelling when I was 15 and when I turned 18, I got into glamour modelling.

“Then I had my own PR company at 21. I was a dancer and a mechanic’s apprentice for a year, so I’ve also been in the car industry.” Meghan added: “I’ve been in the modelling industry and did PR for cars, plus the fitness industry, including powerlifting. I also did some TV and film on BBC and UTV.

“I have been in every type of industry. The porn industry has been by far the nicest, kindest, most supportive ever.

“People might not think that, looking from the outside in, but it is absolutely brilliant.”

Meghan recently told a podcast called Stripped Off: “I used to be a gym owner and I have done everything under the sun. I have always been an exhibitionist, that’s my personality. I started glamour modelling as soon as I turned 18. I couldn’t wait to get stripped off.”

She added: “I was a stay-at-home mum for seven years, then I opened my gym, but I kept thinking that I wanted to be a porn star.

“I just wanted to do it, I just absolutely love it. My mummy and daddy support me, no matter what.”

Meghan said last year “the stigma around being in the adult industry, or being a sex worker of any kind, is horrific” – but not in the profession.

She said previously of growing up in Ireland: “You know a lot of us here have internalised misogyny and we don’t even realise it.

“The toxic patriarchy is huge here. So, you know this idea that a female is out being very bold with her sexuality is massively shamed.”

She now stars in a new TV documentary about fellow Irish porn star Andy Lee, 35, from Dublin.

Meghan told the cameras: “The industry itself is probably one of the best industries I have ever been in.” She told the Irish Mirror: “I make all my money by making my own porn and I sell it myself on Only Fans. But I don’t like to talk about money because any time I do, everyone goes mad.”
