JURGEN KLOPP has spoken ok ken passionate­ly of his pride in n Marcus Rashford despite e Liverpool’s fierce rivalry with Manchester United.

The Kop boss broke down n football’s tribal barriers with h emotional support for the striker er r in showing leadership over child ld food poverty – where the British h Government has failed.

And he insisted that football is always united when it comes to o such “wondrous” acts of humanity. ity y.

He s a i d : “We n e e d consistenc­y. We’ve been too much up and down. We need to address our home form.

But that consistenc­y of performanc­e and results is what Solskjaer knows his s i d e m u s t s h o w , particular­ly after back- tob a c k d e f e a t s a t O l d Trafford, including a 6- 1 mauling by Tottenham.

“C o n s i s t e n c y c o me s f rom the mindset,” said Solskjaer. “We know we’ve got talented players.

“As I ’ve said quite a few t i mes, we j ust need t o r e s p e c t t h e b a s i c s i n football. We need to outrun and outfight teams.

“If these players do that – like we’ve done the last two games – then suddenly we create chances.

“We need to defend as a team. That’s the mindset we need to have in every single game.

“We’ve got different ways of playing.”
