DERMOT Bannon has set his sights on Bono following Daniel and Majella O’donnell on the next series of Room To Improve.

The celebrity architect is currently shooting the hit show as the final episode of his other series Incredible Homes airs tomorrow night.

The Dubliner told the Irish Mirror : “We’re always looking for exciting people so if Bono did rock up and say I want you to do my house I ’d be thrilled.

“But what was really nice about Daniel and

Maj ella, there was a genuine need there. Majella was desperately unhappy in that house, not in her life.

“I wasn’t convinced until Maj ella took me over to her little cottage on Owey Island and she told me she’d love their home to feel like this. Wow, this is a cottage with no running water and a wind- up radio in the corner.

“She’s not the type of person you’ l l see at th e opening of an envelope, they both like to be at home.”

Following their time on the show, the TV architect and the O’donnells have remained firm friends.

The 48- year- old added: “I stay in touch with them, every time they’re on the Late Late, I ’ ll call her and she had a big birthday this year and so I was messaging her over and back.”

Dermot also told how tonight’s episode of Incredible Homes was all shot in Ireland . The dad of three added: “There’s one expensive house down in Goleen in Co Cork.

“It’s breathtaking but the others are quirky and different, I learnt a whole lot from them.

“I felt really proud of Irish architects on this show.

“The crew has been the same all over the world and they all agreed the Irish homes were up there with the best and that was huge for me.”

■ Dermot Bannon’s Incredible Homes airs tomorrow at 9.30pm on RTE One.
