Legend Glen’s family at war over €34m fortune

- BY MIRROR REPORTER

COUNTRY legend Glen Campbell’s death is being overshadowed by a bitter family feud over his €34million fortune. The father of eight died on Tuesday after losing a battle with Alzheimer’s at the age of 81. But the singer was unaware his two eldest children launched a legal bid two years ago to wrestle control of his decisions from his fourth wife. Debby Campbell-cloyd and Travis Campbell claimed Kim Woolen, 58, was keeping their father “secluded from the rest of the family”. Last year Ashley Campbell, one of Kim and Glen’s children, insisted her mum cared for the star “through every step of his disease”. She wrote on Facebook: “[Kim] has never denied any of his children a visit, including Debby and Travis, who see him regularly yet continue to spread malicious lies about her. They have visitation rights, so what else do they want? The limelight.” But Debby, daughter of Glen’s first wife Diane, and Travis, son of second wife Billie Jean, alleged Kim failed to visit the singer regularly and may have been mishandling his finances. In court papers, Glen and Billie Jean’s other children Kelli and Kane Campbell claimed Glen’s business manager Stanley B Schneider and Lawrence J Turner of the Campbell Trust owe them €22,000 from his estate. When Glen and Billie Jean split, she was awarded half of his assets. Their children got a third of her estate when she died but Kelli and Kane allege cash is being “withheld”.
