Ford returns for England as Wales go with young talent RUGBY

-

■ ENGLAND have named George Ford at fly-half in their only change for tomorrow’s Autumn Nations Cup clash with Wales at Parc y Scarlets. Ford has been reinstated as playmaker-in-chief after making his comeback from an Achilles injury as a replacement in last weekend’s resounding 18-7 victory over Ireland at Twickenham. The midfield adjustment is partially a result of Ollie Lawrence suffering a hip problem and the knock-on effect is to see captain Owen Farrell join Henry

Slade in the centres.

ENGLAND: Daly; Joseph, Slade, Farrell, May; Ford, Youngs; M Vunipola, George, Sinckler, Itoje, Launchbury, Curry, Underhill, B Vunipola. Reps: Cowan-Dickie, Genge, Stuart, Hill, Earl, Willis, Robson, Watson.

■ CARDIFF scrum-half Lloyd Williams will make his first Wales start for four years in a young side aiming to build on last weekend’s 18-0 win over Georgia. James Botham — grandson of England cricket great Ian Botham — retains his place in a back-row missing flankers Justin Tipuric and Josh Navidi. Williams, who has won 30 caps, partners Dan Biggar at half-back, with Botham moving from blindside to openside flanker following his promising Test debut against Georgia. Elsewhere, 19-yearold Gloucester wing Louis Rees-Zammit wins a third Test cap.

WALES: Halfpenny; Adams, Tompkins, J Williams, ReesZammit; Biggar, Lloyd Williams; W Jones, Elias, Lee, Ball, Alun Wyn Jones (capt), Lewis-Hughes, Botham, Faletau. Reps: Dee, Carre, Francis, Rowlands, Wainwright, Webb, Sheedy, Watkin.
