NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM Today, E4, 7.50pm AFTER several failed business ventures, Larry Daley (Ben Stiller, right) is taken on as a night watchman at the American Museum of Natural History in New York. It should be a fairly stress-free job, of course, but he is unaware that an ancient curse causes the animals and other exhibits to come to life as soon as darkness falls. The cast also includes Dick Van Dyke, Robin Williams, Mickey Rooney, Owen Wilson, Ricky Gervais and Steve Coogan. VALKYRIEN Tomorrow, C4, 9pm THIS new eight-part Scandinavian crime drama centres around Ravn (Sven Nordin), a doctor who is desperately trying to raise money to find a cure for his dying wife. He sets up an illegal clinic in a disused Oslo bomb shelter to treat criminals and others anxious to avoid the mainstream hospital system. STORYVILLE Monday, BBC4, 10pm ACCORDING to the BBC blurb, this programme – titled Out Of Thin Air: Murder In Iceland – examines ‘one of the most shocking miscarriages of justice Europe has ever witnessed’. Two men disappear several months apart in 1974 and a police probe makes little progress due to the absence of bodies, witnesses or forensic evidence. ‘Then six suspects were arrested and confessed to the murders, many facing, long harsh sentences,’ we are told. ‘It seemed like justice had been done, but nothing could be further from the truth.’ CELEBRITY MASTERCHEF Wednesday, BBC1, 8pm CONTESTANTS for the twelfth series include Stephen Hendry, Henri Leconte, Julia Somerville and Vic Reeves. It might be watchable if Vic, left, doesn’t try to be funny.
