Red alert! Love/Hate’s Barry and friend steal show at movie premiere
TWO Irish movie stars were looking dapper on the red carpet last night.
Cillian Murphy and Barry Keoghan joined a galaxy of stars at the London premiere of Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk at the Odeon on Leicester Square.
Cillian, 41, famed for his role in BBC’s Peaky Blinders, plays the role of a shell-shocked serviceman known as the Shivering Soldier in the wartime drama which also stars One Direction’s Harry Styles and English actor Tom Hardy.
Arriving in a fitted suit, which he paired with a baby blue shirt and a slick navy tie,
The Wind That Shook the Barley star looked relaxed as he mingled with fans and signed autographs.
But former Love/Hate star Barry decided to make a completely different type of entrance and arrived on the red carpet with companion Shona Guerin on his arm. Barry, 24, who plays a man called George who helps ferry injured soldiers across the English Channel in Nolan’s new epic, then struck a boxing pose for the cameras before re-joining his companion at the premiere.
Britain’s Prince Harry also attended and arrived on the red carpet with veterans from Dunkirk, Afghanistan and Kosovo.
Dunkirk tells the story of the British Army’s evacuation from northern France in June 1940 when 400,000 soldiers were cut off by German troops.
