Your guide to the Kop kids
CAMERON BRANNAGAN
AGE: 19 POSITION: Midfield COMES from Manchester United heartland in Salford but committed his future to Liverpool last autumn, signing for another two years. He has, according to Klopp, ‘everything a midfielder should have’.
SHEYI OJO
AGE: 18 POSITION: Forward
SIGNED from MK Dons in 2011, the England U19 player was on loan at Wolves until Klopp recalled him yesterday. Ojo impressed the German when he returned to train at Melwood during the international break last November.
RYAN KENT
AGE: 19 POSITION: Winger BORN in Oldham but has been at Liverpool’s academy since he was nine, the winger, who can also operate in a role behind a striker, was involved in the pre-season tour last summer to the Far East and Australia.
CONNOR RANDALL
AGE: 20 POSITION: Right back
HIS no-nonsense attitude struck a chord with Klopp in his early weeks at the club and Randall’s reward was a place against Bournemouth in the Capital One Cup. Liverpool-born, he is a tenacious full back with an appetite to get forward.
JOAO TEIXEIRA
AGE: 22 POSITION: Midfield
A MOMENT of brilliance — an audacious backheel in a Capital One Cup tie against Bournemouth in October — helped clinch Klopp’s first win. His talent is not in question but consistency has been an issue for the Portuguese playmaker.
