It’s all over, but will Sheridan ever find love as she splits with soap star?

-

HER career is going from strength to strength, but the unlucky-inlove actress’s personal life continues to be tumultous. Sheridan Smith is said to have ended her relationship with Hollyoaks actor Greg Wood after taking him back weeks ago, following their split last summer.

The 34-year-old BAFTA-winning star was pictured with her former flame in late November, sparking rumours that they had decided to give things another shot.

But according to The Sun, it’s all over for the Funny Girl star and the soap actor – who she had previously accused of cheating on her with his co-star Tamara Wall – and it fell apart just before Christmas.

A source told the newspaper’s Will Payne: ‘This relationship was always a rocky one and most people thought it was over in the summer.

‘She took him back to give things one last try. He came to support her at her opening night and they went on holiday together.

The insider added: ‘But it started to fall apart in December. They have stopped following each other on Twitter.’

On Sunday, Sheridan took to Twitter and wrote: ‘New beginnings, so excited about the year ahead. And thank u to my pals who came today, lucky to have such special friends xxx.’

Some suggest that ‘new beginnings’ might be a reference to the break-up, and the actress has a history of airing her personal life on Twitter.

Sheridan and Greg were pictured putting on an intimate display at a restaurant following the opening night of her critically acclaimed West End musical Funny Girl.

This was just a few weeks after she appeared on The Jonathan Ross Show and admitted she was single and that she’s too much of a workaholic to make relationships work.

She began dating the 36-year-old actor last year, but they had a rather acrimonious split in summer when rumours emerged that Greg – who was in the midst of a divorce from exwife Catherine Milburn – had cheated on Sheridan with his Hollyoaks colleague Tamara.

The multiple award-winning actress is said to have then hit out at Greg in a Twitter rant in July following their split, writing: ‘Just been hurt by an idiot boy again but not gonna lower myself to his standards :) love & light’

She added: ‘Onwards & upwards! Homeward bound! can’t wait to see me dogs, loyal as anything :) x.’

The unlucky-in-love star also ended a fleeting romance in October via the social networking site, announcing to her fans that she was single again after dating The Enemy’s bassist Andy Hopkins for a few weeks.

She has been linked to The Late Late Show host James Corden, 37, in the past. The two have remained friends.
