JURGEN KLOPP admits Liverpool need to make injury-plagued striker Daniel Sturridge more resilient before they can expect to see him play consistently. Sturridge is out for a number of weeks with a hamstring strain sustained in Sunday’s 2-0 defeat at Newcastle — only his sixth appearance since April 8. ‘It’s a hamstring injury and it’s not easy to say when he is back for us,’ Klopp said ahead of their final Europa League group tie against Sion in Switzerland tonight. ‘There are two different things we have to look on. The one is the injury and the other is how we bring him into shape so it’s not so intensive for him when he needs to train.’ MAURICIO POCHETTINO admits Harry Kane may be rested for Tottenham’s Europa League match against Monaco while Mousa Dembele is definitely out as he is sick. Spurs are already through to the knock-out stages. ST PATRICK’S ATHLETIC have signed brothers Darren and Billy Dennehy, despite Shamrock Rovers reportedly top of the queue to sign the defender and winger following their release from Cork City. The Leesiders did add striker Sean Maguire to their ranks. The Republic of Ireland Under 21 international failed to make an impact at Dundalk last season and has chosen to try his luck at Turner’s Cross in 2016. Newly-promoted Wexford Youths have given their survival hopes a major boost by resigning striker Danny Furlong, who was voted the PFAI First Division player of the year.
