THE BRIDE AND GROOM

-

GENEALOGISTS reckon Australian Storm Uechtritz, 34, is a seventh cousin to Prince William — so Ronan is technically marrying r oyalty. The TV producer’s greatgrandmother Phebe was a Samoan princess who, in the mid-1800s, met and married renowned English explorer Richard Parkinson, himself the descendant of a Danish duke.

Storm married her first husband and college sweetheart Tim Ivers, a financial director, in 2009, but revealed the marriage was over in April 2012. That same month Ronan and Yvonne announced their permanent split.

Ronan and Storm first met i n 2010 when she was a producer on Australian X Factor and he was a judge. They became f riends f i rst and then confidants as they emerged from the rubble of their respective marriages.

Said Storm: ‘In some ways Ronan helped me and I helped him.

‘We were going through the same thing so we could relate.’

Boyzone singer Ronan, 38, quietly married his first wife Yvonne Connolly on the Caribbean isle of Nevis in 1998, just months after his beloved mother Marie died of breast cancer. He was 21. They have three children, Jack, 16, Missy, 14 and Ali, who will be ten next month.

In 2010, Yvonne was devastated when she found racy texts on her husband’s phone and discovered he had been having an affair with Francine Cornell, a backing dancer on the Boyzone tour.

She threw him out and though she later took him back the marriage never recovered. After 17 years together, their divorce was finalised in March of this year.

Yvonne has reverted to using her maiden name, is ‘madly in love’ with film director John Conroy and enjoying their ‘very grownup’ relationship.
