We will win 14 seats in LS polls: Revanth

-

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy was confident of the Congress party winning 14 seats in the Parliament elections and asked the people to consider his performance of 100 days as the benchmark before voting.

He alleged that BRS and BJP have a poll understanding and the names being cleared by the BRS indicate how ‘weak’ candidates are being fielded to help the BJP. “The claims of BRS leaders that the Congress government will fall in a few months are a clear sign of how BRS is desperate to tie up with BJP. The ModiKCR bond is strong.”

Taking a dig at K. Chandrasekhar Rao, he said KCR caused unprecedented damage to Telangana and the Congress was trying to set things right. The government had increased the revenue plugging all the corruption of the BRS rule. Income from sand mining has increased to ₹3.5 crore per day from ₹ 1 crore in the BRS regime. Similarly, the GST income had increased by ₹ 300 crore last month and ₹500 crore this month, he said.

This increased collections showcase how corrupt the BRS regime was, he said, adding that the government would release monthly income state

ments in the next budget sessions to show the corrupt system in the BRS is being set right now. “I will also release the list of GST defaulters. And all these are friends of the BRS leaders,” he claimed.

“So far ₹4,500 crore was transferred under Rythu Bandhu and pending bills of below ₹ 1 crore were cleared. Pending bills of priority irrigation projects were also being cleared. Even interest payments to bank loans are also streamlined. The financial mess created by the BRS is being set right,” he said.

Rythu Bharosa

Mr. Reddy was clear about new norms to be introduced for the Rythu Bharosa scheme. “We will assist those in need and not the wealthy or owners of barren lands and hillocks.” He also assured that all the changes to be made will be discussed in the Assembly and he doesn’t believe in issuing secret GOs.

On the Kaleshwaram project, he said the government wants experts of the National Dam Safety Authority (NDSA) to examine and suggest the measures.
