Did Revanth make Modi drop Abkibaar charsau paar slogan?

- VJM DIVAKAR /HYDERABAD

A month ago, participating in Rajat Sharma’s Aap ki Adalat, Revanth Reddy made a remark on PM Modi’s claim that Abkibaar charsau paar. In his inimitable style, when Rajat Sharma asked for his reaction on Modi’s main poll slogan Abkibaar charsau paar, Revanth said, “From where will Modi get 400?” Giving statistical data on the BJP’s present seats in Lok Sabha statewide, Revanth convincingly informed the audience and viewers how it is not possible for Modi or the BJP get 400 seats in the present election. Revanth ended his answer with, now famous, quote,” If Modi wants 400 seats he should get MPs from Pakistan.”

The entire interview, especially Revanth’s quip on Modi main slogan Abkibaar went viral on the social media and it has been quoted, referred by lakhs of people who are against BJP and Modi.

Since then, interestingly, Modi stopped using the slogan, Abkibaar charsau paar.

He has not mentioned it so far till date. Taking cue from PM Modi, the entire BJP echo system and its front organisation, his countless admirers and supporters have also dropped the Abkibaar slogan like a hot Potato!

In a number of interviews to media persons, PM Modi talked about many things but refrained from making any claim that the BJP is going to get 400 seats. Even in his public meetings, PM Modi dropped the slogan from his main menu.

Credit should also be given to Revanth for making the Congress release its guarantees on the eve of Lok Sabha polls from Hyderabad! It is from here that the Congress launched its poll campaign blitzkrieg and it gained momentum from Telangana state. In the run up to the final phases of Lok Sabha polls in the country, the INDIA alliance changed the entire poll spectrum, thanks to the initial momentum given by Revanth. One should wait and see how the momentum further picks and what will be the final result?
