Student goes missing, 2 women profs suspected

A BA final- year ( Hons) evening college student from Satyawati College, has allegedly gone missing from January 25 evening.

The missing student identified as Gaurav, a resident of Mahindra Enclave, has allegedly been in depression. The police has recovered several notes written by Gaurav in which he had purportedl­y written about the mental torture meted out to him by two women professors allegedly attached to English department.

The father of the missing student, Dinesh Thakur, alleged that Gaurav left for college on January 25 noon, but never returned. Initially, the family searched for the student, however, when the search didn’t yield any result, the family informed the police. While searching for Gaurav, the family found several notes allegedly written by him in which he alleged to have been tortured by his two women professors.

According to police, the father also stated that Gaurav, in one of his notes, had allegedly charged that the women professors accused Gaurav of gawking at them. Also, they threatened him to fail him in the exam. He had also written as to how the duo shouted at him in the class and caused embarrassm­ent to him.

The student has also alleged that if he was found dead, the two women professors were responsibl­e for his death.

On finding the letters, the family informed the police who visited the spot and took the notes into their custody.

A missing case in this regard has been filed. The jurisdicti­onal police have ordered an inquest into the same and an investigat­ion into the case is underway.
