Not going the spray way

- DR NARAYANA REDDY

I’m 27 years old and have been having sex with my partner for almost two years now. We’re not using any protection as there is no chance of pregnancy as she got rid of it long time back. Last year, I used a spray on my penis for enhancing my erection and it also worked but after a day I noticed that while urinating it started burning and later there was infection on the foreskin. I applied some skin medicine and it got alright within a week. Was it the spray that affected me or it could be due to my partner’s dry vagina? Now I’m fine. Can we use coconut oil as a lubricant?

QIt can be either. The spray used by you may have produced “allergic dermatitis” i. e. your skin might have developed an allergy to the ingredients of the spray. Alternately if your partner is not lubricating sufficiently the intercourse will be rough and your penis head and foreskin might have been bruised. The bruise might have got secondarily infected. It’s better to use artificial lubricants like plain white petroleum or K- Y jelly.

I’m 34 and married. I’ve a problem for past one year. I underwent urine test and the report is normal. When I pass stool, semen passes out too. Please suggest some good cure.

QWhat you’re passing is not semen, but secretions of the urethral glands. If a man has constipation and exerts pressure while passing stools, the pressure is relayed from the rectum to the prostate gland and the urethra. Due to this pressure, these glands are squeezed and little secretions will accumulate in the urinary passage. When urine is being passed out these accumulated secretions will be routed out along with the urine. You need no treatment for this condition. Just make sure that you are not constipated.
