Mourinho celebrates daughter’s birthday

-

Stoke City striker Jese Rodriguez has paid tribute to his baby son Nyan by having his initials shaved into the back of his hair as he continues to fight for his life in a Spanish hospital.

The on-loan Paris SaintGermain star has been making regular trips to be by his son's bedside in his hometown of Gran Canaria after he was born four months premature at the end of June, reports the Daily Mail.

Rodriguez regularly updates his fans on Nyan’s recovery and, earlier this week, shaved the word “N” into the back of his head in homage to his third child and first with girlfriend Aurah Ruiz.

He had earlier posted a heartfelt tribute to his newborn son, calling him his “little warrior” and calling him the “best thing that has happened to me”.

The Spaniard wrote on Instagram: “If the world thinks you are not good enough, it is a LIE. You are the best thing that has happened to me.

“Every day at your side I learn from you, your strength, your desire, your attitude of not giving up, your tenderness, your seriousness for how small you are, your way of suffering and little by little you are going ahead.” Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho celebrated his daughter’s birthday in style on Saturday, even though his mind will be focused on Sunday’s faceoff against his former club Chelsea.

Matilde Mourinho turned 21 on Saturday, and her dad took to Instagram to celebrate the occasion with a selfie, followed by another image flashing back to her younger years, reports the Daily Mail.

In his first post, translated from Portuguese, Mourinho wrote: ‘HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAUGHTER, 21 years of making us smile.’

The second post is a throwback, in which a much youngerlooking Mourinho stands in central London holding little Matilde.

The report suggests that the image was taken long before Mourinho announced himself on the European stage with his Champions League triumph with Porto and may well be of his time when he worked as an assistant prior to his breakthrough as a manager.
