It’s time to praise the Lord

Preetika Rao: We do not get an idol home during Ganesh utsav; instead, my mother keeps a silver Ganpati in our mandir during the festival days and has been doing a puja for the past five years. My one wish to Ganpati bappa had been that I win people over with my work and that they’d love me for what I am. This wish has come true and been fulfilled in the form of Beintehaa. Sanaya Irani: Ganesh Chaturthi brings with it a feeling of happiness and peace. We celebrate the festival every year: Our family has been following the tradition of bringing a Ganesha idol home since the past few years. This tradition started with my sister who always carried an idol of Ganeshji with her. Our celebrations are very warm and affectionate as we spend the day with family and close friends. Each year, I make sure to take the day off from work and celebrate this auspicious day with Ganeshji. My one wish to him, is always for happiness. Ashish Sharma: Ganeshji has blessed me with a lot of happiness and success in life; it has been a wonderful year so far. This festival is important for my wife Archana and me; we will be celebrating with family and friends. I always pray to Bappa to bless us with good health, make me a stronger person and spread positive energy all around. Nandish Sandhu: My wish to Ganpati to start my own business last year has been fulfilled. I opened up Gulf Coast in the suburb of Oshiwara with my brother. However, I really need to work a lot on it. Sometimes, schedules are hectic because of shooting for a daily show and I am hoping to make more time for my business to take it forward. Ganesh Chaturti is always a festival that brings joy and peace. Karan Patel: I never ask Ganpati bappa for materialistic things. I ask for the strength to work hard, which he has given me over the years and that is why I have reached where I am today. I just want his support and blessings to prosper more and be happy in life. I don’t have a Ganpati idol at home but I make it a point to visit my friend’s house and seek blessings and thank God for whatever I have today. Being a Gujarati, I love to have all the sweets offered as prasad.
