NOIDA: In a bid to ease the woes of commuters and understand their needs, the Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) is conducting an online survey to get public feedback about operations of the upcoming Metro corridor between Noida and Greater Noida.

According to NMRC officials, the survey is to understand whether the commuters prefer the 29.8 km Aqua Line to stop at all stations or skip multiple stations to save time.

“We are conducting an online survey to assess requirement of the public for an express service to commuters. The board will take decision based on the response received. The survey consists of fifteen questions which a persons needs to answer as per his/her preference. Once the survey period is completed, we will take a decision on whether the trains should skip stations and move between high traffic stations reducing the time of commute,” said PD Upadhyay, Executive Director, NMRC.

He added that the survey is available at board's official website-www.nmrcnoida.com

Apart from this, NMRC is also inviting suggestions on the preferred frequency of trains and timings. “The survey is open for 15 days following which the Metro committee will take a call,” Upadhyay added.

The Noida-greater Noida Metro Rail Corridor (Aqua Line) has 21 stations from Sector-51 Station in Noida to Depot Station in Greater Noida, which will be covered in 48 minutes.

Some stations are currently sparsely populated and have been constructed with an eye on the future. These include stations such as sectors 144, 146, 147, 149 and 153.
